Inspired by Nordstrom's rich and bold history, I created a graphic pattern and color composition to be applied to many Nordstrom Home Collection products for a limited edition Heritage line. The pattern is comprised of various versions of the Nordstrom logo throughout the company's history. The color palette takes cues from vintage Nordstrom ads from the 1940s-60s. With the heritage in mind, it was interesting to discover a way to make the design appeal to the modern customer.
I designed a brand identity for children's clothing line that is now available at Nordstrom Rack. After experimenting with various names and woodland inspired brand stories, I decided that a playful, yet bold typographic logo would best suit this clothing line.
The Harper Canyon brand provides casual basics to both boys and girls, from toddlers to pre-teens. Best of the great value of the product on the customer's wallets, the final Harper Canyon identity includes logo creation and labeling design with low production cost in mind.
AmazonFresh Super Bowl Campaign
Visual Experience Design for all components of the Super Bowl XLVIII Campaign for AmazonFresh. Worked closely with Campbell's, Pepsi, and Frito-Lay brands to promote product geared toward game day parties. Altered vendor brand promotion to fit along AmazonFresh brand standards. Careful selection of food imagery to represent available products while maintaining the sporty feel of the overall store.
Additionally, designed landing page and email graphics to promote the Super Bowl store. In the Seattle market, I created an "easter egg" 12th Man banner to appear on the website to encourage local support.
A few examples of AmazonFresh marketing graphics that promote sales of a product or brand. Each design carefully combines brand standards of the Vendor with AmazonFresh's style guidelines.
First few images represent center graphics running on the AmazonFresh landing page. Many images are market specific. The following web page example is how I update merchant pages with more appealing imagery for new layout compositions. Additionally, I have updated email promotions to fit with a cleaner aesthetic that AmazonFresh is moving toward.
Polaris Global Mobility
During my internship at Seattle branding firm, Urban Influence, I was able to be a large part of the web redesign for Polaris, a leading provider of software and services for global mobility programs.
The challenge: to make the process of global mobility seem more exciting and less daunting.
I was able to help with iconography, assets, website wireframing and design. I was put in charge of choosing appropriate imagery and editing the photos for optimum appeal and performance. The site in its entirety can be found at www.polarisgm.com.
The Hello Project
The Hello Project is an exhibition created to combat the "Seattle Freeze" by facilitating fun and quirky interactions between strangers. Through both physical and digital mediums, this process promotes community and open-mindedness.
You begin by registering with The Hello Project online, and then collect "Mission Tokens" at Pyramid Brewery, Top Pot Doughnuts, & Bauhaus Cafe. Enter the token's serial number online (or through our mobile app) and you will be given a mission. Take a picture of yourself completing the mission with your new acquaintance and submit it to see how your influence spreads! It's time to say hello.
The Hello Project Teaser
As apart of the team at Urban Influence, we designed the brand collateral for Endurance Dealer Services. Endurance DS is a sub-brand of the auto warranty company that is targeted for Auto Dealers only. Elements of the collateral include catalog layouts, auto mirror hangers, advertisements, and brochures.
Air Canada Rouge
With the specialized design group lead by Paul Wylde, we crafted the identity of Air Canada's newest lost cost carrier brand, Air Canada Rouge. From naming, to logo and plane livery, Rouge was born. A leisure oriented brand with a fun and familiar twist to its parent brand.
For my University of Washington capstone project, I decided to reach beyond my comfort zone and challenge myself with a design project that was produced away from the computer. I took silkscreen classes on weekends and designed/illustrated a music poster series.
Three concerts in the Seattle area from the electronic genre: Beats Antique, Miike Snow, and Bassnectar. Each poster was designed to be silkscreen printed onto large birch wood panels. When exposed to fluorescent black light, the designs transform to reveal an otherwise subtle image.
Brazilian Coffee Industry
For an infographic covering the topic of Brazil, I focused in on the prominence of the Brazilian Coffee Industry in the world. I studied a variety of facts on the coffee bean, from group to cup. In addition to two informational posters, I created a template for an iPad app to help people make select coffee recipes at home.
A publication I created for lovers of film. This issue focuses on the ins and outs of the Independent Cinema Industry. There is a full print publication as well as a version for iPad. The iPad publication contains a range of interactivity options including bonus features of movie trailers and sound clips

Haunted Parks Posters
I chose to explored the topic of haunted national parks. I researched many parks and their histories finding that Alcatraz Island, Denali and Gettysburg were the most fascinating to me. I treated each poster with a reflection of an iconic aspect of the location. The top of the images represents how the beautiful location is seen to the viewer while the reverse represents the "haunting".
Todo Es Jazz
Full creation of brand identity and album design for Seattle latin jazz band, Todo Es. I wanted to create a style that was inspired by the tone of their music, but mixed with a modern flair.
Mad Homes Exhibit
Serving as an artist assistant to Luke Haynes, I followed his art direction to help make his vision of a home covered in clothing a reality. Luke purchased 1,000 pounds of Goodwill clothing items for the entire first floor of the house. I was responsible to help organize the clothing into color categories and adhere them to the walls.
